ISS Alba Frequency Domain Lifetime Imaging system [Funded by NIH RR 027409; 2009]
Alba FCS is a dual-channel spectrometer that combines a confocal scanning microscope with fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), and is optimized for both single-photon and multi-photon excitation. For digital frequency domain FLIM, the system has ISS Alba V 2 channel filter based detection and allows phasor plot analysis of fluorescence lifetime images. It gives the ability for analytical assaying of nano- to pico-molar concentrations in small volumes (~1 µm3). Other applications include quantitative analysis of diffusions and molecular kinetics in live specimens.
