TIRF - Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence microscopy system [Funded by Keck Foundation; ETF funds, Biology; 1999]

This is a custom built system using Olympus optics and other companies’ optics and lasers. This system is equipped with an Olympus (IX-70) Infinity corrected inverted microscope. Two independent Olympus TIRF illuminators allow simultanous Green & Red TIRF imaging.

• Hamamatsu high speed high sensitivity cMOS CCD camera
• Temperature controlled chamber and Eppendorf microinjection device
• Metamorph Software
• Objective lenses: 2X, 4X/0.13, 10X/0.30, 20X/0.40, 40X/0.85 Oil, 60X/1.20 WI, 60X/1.40 Oil, 60X (TIRF, 1.45NA, Oil), 100X/1.40 Oil
• Laser lines: Argon laser ( 488 nm), DPSS laser 556 nm
